Jhabaks join hands with Sun for ÂMappillaiÂ

ÂThey are doing itÂ. ÂNo, they arenÂt, they have sold the rights to Sun PicturesÂ. Putting an end to all these guesses as to whether Nemichand Jhabak and V Hitesh Jhabak are producing or not ÂMappillaiÂ, an official announcement today said the producers are at the helm of affairs of the prestigious project, however by joining hands with Sun Pictures.
As per the new arrangement, the Jhabaks will be the line producers of the Dhanush starrer, which is a remake of a yesteryear Rajinikanth film of the same title. They will make the movie for Sun Pictures on a first copy basis.
Directed by Suraaj, the film which has Hansika Motwani opposite Dhanush has musical score by Manisharma. If sources are to be believed, Jayapradha has been roped in for the all powerful mother-in-law role, played by Sri Vidya in the original.
Says Dhanush, the son-in-law of the Superstar, ÂI am proud that I am going to do a role played by Rajini sir. ÂMappillai is one of my favourite Rajini films and I had watched it many times. But never had I expected that I would do the lead role in its remake. 'Mappillai' is going on floors starting today.
